Is the drive pulley for the Power Steering pump just bolted onto a standard c/shaft damper with one vee pulley?

There is no special damper with 2 vee pulleys for Power Steering?

I need to replace as rubber has moved and marks now not accurate.

My ’55 Wagon with its 182HP 272 had a three sheave damper on it from the factory.  Here’s a couple of links to past threads concerning that damper and some alternatives.

There are firms that can rebuild your current damper.  I use Damper Doctor but there are others.

Thanks very much for all your supplied information. At least now know what to be looking out for.

Here In New Zealand probably dont have the likes of Damper Doctor who rebuild these units.

So will keep eye out for the correct unit.
