Hi I am puting a 303 3 speed in my 56 tbird was wondering if the Z bar out of a 53-54 ford will work was told it might not work because of exhaust system if not what will work also will I run into any issues with the stock 56 ford bell ,throwout etc and does anyone know if front yoke on fordomatic is the same as 303 thanks

The Z bar on a '54, '55, or '56 can be made to work if you make a 2" or 3" spacer between the frame and the bottom of the bracket on the frame side. Don't reemember the exact measurement. That was '65. Used one on my '57 for years till I found the right one. Bellhousing and throwout bearing will work find. Front yolk will work I think. Need someone else here to confirm that part.

The only direct fit parts will be '55-'57 T-Bird.  That is not to say others cannot be made to work as Slumlord says.
