went up to lincoln nebraska and got my 9 inch rear end today but I forgot to get the brake backing plates /will my 1955 plates work on the 9 inch /if not I got to go back/ also he has 1 more 57 9 inch and what I think are 2 59 both have two dimples but the spring mount were wider 356 and 297 ratio /IM not sure what ratio the 57 is/if your interest in one of then let me know and I will get the phone # to you /they are $300 each

I'm not positive but Rob told me he thought the 56 backing plates had the same bolt pattern. I would at least try them before changing them out. Chuck
