If possible could anyone shine any light on these numbers .A mate of mine has found a 56 Sunliner for sale in Melbourne with this ID plate. The guy selling the car says it was made in Mexico????? I didn’t know 56 Fords were made there ?????

Chuck, remember to take info from Wikipedia with a grain of salt. Although there is a lot of good info on Wiki almost anyone can log on and change or add info. Correct or incorrect. See the EDIT tab at the top of the page?

For that reason my Grandson's teachers will not allow them to use Wikipedia for a Reference in Reports, Research and Study Papers. Unfortunate because it can be a great tool but not all info is accurate.

Not saying the link that you gave has wrong info, just pointing out that if using wikipedia it is a good idea to verify that info from another source.
