Got it and replied. I also got an e-mail notification. That didn't happen on the old forum.

Manchester, TN, theres a blast from the past. I worked for a company called Extradition Corporation of America. Their headquarters was there in the old jail downtown. Used to stay at a motel on the right heading out to the highway. This was in 87 or so. Chuck

Chuck, The old jail is gone now. The new jail that was here when you were here is full and we are in the process of building a newer, bigger jail now. Need you back to "extradite" some more. Town has changed a lot since '87.

I recall trying to find things to do on days off was not easy. Had to travel a ways to find decent clubs. I don't remember but was Manchester dry? I thought there was one country western club there somewhere and then the local VFW (I think or was it the American Legion?).I know one night I drove up on Rocky Top to the VFW. Had a dance going so I thought this will be ok. Didn't take me long to realize I was the only one in there that had stowed their sidearm. Even the women had guns! I decided that being a stranger there was probably not a good idea. Nationwide extradition business was worse than the military. I was only home a couple days every month or so. The stress was causing problems with my daughter, not to mention homelife. Glad to have it behind me. I would like to pass through someday and see what changes had been made. When I was there the big fight was about opening a plant to make parts (door panels I think) for Japanese cars. At least it put some folks to work. Chuck
