Thanks for letting me join, I really enjoy the good info and cars! My question concerns the start-up of my 300" Y; .050 (312 pistons) 292 in a "57 Fairlane. The engine has sat for a year now, I bought one of John's cams and used the supplied lube. I will be pressuring up the system with a drill and making sure we have pressure and good flow at the heads. What else should I do, Ted Eaton had mentioned this on his list of "camshaft failures"; engine sitting too long. I'm also looking for a source of regular head pipes, I'm just running flat-top manifolds, does anybody know of a supplier? Thanks again! Mike.
