Nobody mentioned Jerry Christenson's headers. You can find him in the links section of the home page under Yestertech.

What about the ones Mummert had a guy working on, did they ever come to fruition yet?

Unfortunately no. Although they didn't test but a little better than stock on the dyno run that Ted made. There is a guy on EBAY that has apparently found a bunch of of the left side Fenton but no right side. When they show up as a set they are usually in the $400 range for a pair. I've seen the left side only go for as little as $100 but its not much use alone. So far nobody has found a cache of rights. Chuck

From a newbie,What about the Fenton cast iron headers, maybe not a real header, but better than stock?
Does anyone sell or reproduce them?

Charlie, I think I got the last set that Noxious Customs had, but it wouldn't hurt to check with them. Hellsgatehotrods also sells them on ebay and Speedway Motors has them as well.

Welcome to the site John. I've taken the liberty of moving your post to the technical section as it's a better fit here. Sanderson and Reds Headers are two companies to look at in regards to headers for the Y engines. I'll add that "Headers By Ed" also makes flange plates and kits for the Y engines. There are a couple more companies working on headers for the mid-Fifties Ford and Mercury cars and that information will be posted as it becomes available.

Just joined this forum this morning. I am ordering a bunch of rebuild parts from John M. next week and I am looking forward to talking to him.

My question is does anyone have headers for these motors, or a kit, or flanges I can make myself?

I have a friend that has about 40 55-56 Mercs and more parts than NAPA for these cars. Hardtops four-doors, rags, wagons, you name it this guy has it. ECZ heads. If you are looking for the hard stuff this guy has it all in dry storage. Oh he has 3 56 Mark II's and a 57 Lincoln rag. He has been collecting these cars for 40 years and has helped me out a bunch. 54 -55-56 Mercury's is his gig.
