You only have to post your message once. Either in the "This and That" or as a wanted item in "Classifieds". The 1957 and later exhaust manifolds have a larger bore and can be identfied by a square apperance on the tops. Top is roughly flat. Thats the best you can do in stock manifolds for a Y-Block. Chuck

Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Ray;

There may be more than 1 casting number for the square top "high Flow" manifold, but "EDB" is one of those castings.

To explain further, the pre 57 exhaust manifolds are somewhat rounded on top & noticeably narrower..

Any of the 1957 and up square top manifolds are good. Here are a couple of links to a past thread covering a dyno test of the various exhaust manifolds and headers.

If you use an older carb without electric choke, one of the models with a heat-tube well might be best (?).

Are the 57 later flat top the same length to reach the head pipe as the 55/56? Seems like I find differences in mine alot. 57 on the and 55/56 on the right. Thanks for the info..........
