Hi Jim, Got a new valley cover from Larry's T-Bird. Just flat steel with baffle and hole for smog valve. Under my Blue Thunder there is alot of clearance.   Maybe??  Thanks to everyone.   Eddie

Finned valley covers are available. Moon sells them among others. I don't think they would provide the needed clearance without machining off the fins in the center. Just as well make a new cover out of aluminum flat stock and be done with it. Chuck's 2bits

The valley pan needed for this manifold was also listed on EBAY recently. Its a special valley pan with a flat center. You either need one like that or will need to make a new one out of flat sheet metal. Thats the reason so many old dual manifolds have cracked ears. Chuck in NH

I'm looking for some tech help.

I purchased a Ford 57 dual quad manifold on ebay yesterday. I want to install it on my 56 312 Fairlane.

It came with a pair of old AFB's and adapter plates.



My Questions are:

1.Has anyone used other than stock tea pot carbs on one of these manifolds?

2.If so which ones.

3.If you have used other carbs or stock give me an idea by carb model what your jetting was on the primary side with info on the secondary as well.

4.Also what valley pan did you use to clear the manifold. I didn't get the valley pan.

5.Can you use the dress-up finned valley covers that are advertised?



Any other information that would help with this transition wil be much appreciated.



Oh, I'm using a 57 ford distributor now.
