Hi,
If you’ve read my other posts, you know I’m trying to figureout options for the transmission I just pulled out of my ’56 Parklane. Someone here on the forum has offered to sell me a transmission, converter andhousing and I’m trying to figure out if the assembly will simply bolt in and be immediately usable or if I willhave to make some modifications.
I have a PAK transmission, which I understand is a 1955small case transmission used 272 2V. The one I would buy is a PAW, whichis a 1956-7 medium case transmission for a 312 4V. Both transmissions areair cooled. I like the fact that the PAW was meant for 1956 wagons, amongother models.
Will Ineed to modify the driveshaft for the medium case transmission? What other issues may I have to deal with? Thanks,
MplsMike
