I have to get my front seal replaced on my Fordomatic 2 speed transmission and a bushing that goes with the seal. Can anyone recommend a parts house to purchase the seal and bushing and also put me in the right direction to find the correct part numbers for the parts I need?
Thanks!

If this is the original trans in your '55, it is actually a 3 speed, not a 2 speed. It just takes off in 2nd gear and shifts once. Your local parts store should be able to provide the parts, I get mine at NAPA. Get them the number off the tag to the rear of the shift levers.

When I resealed the original trans in my 55 the seals were the same as the COM and FMX up to 78,only the filter was different and actually had a couple part stores tell me they could not get seals for a trans that old and that was back in the mid 80s.

Are you meaning the extension housing seal and support bushing at the output end of the transmission.I not sure what you mean by front seal and bushing. If its the extension housing bushing and seal they are the same as FMX.Tee-Bird has them listed as 7A034 bushing and 7052B seal. All except transmission # PAW
