Check the valve clearances and idle mixture. Also, if some plugs foul to ignite, it goes to rich side.

No heat riser, and the exhaust shows no coolant, clear and evaporates quickly off the garage floor. I am getting an intermittent popping off the left pipe when its cold, but smooth when it warms up. Gary

Does one TP show more soot than the other?

Is your exhaust heat riser in the right side exhaust working properly. When mine was attached all the exhaust came out the left side along with the condensation until it warmed up.

Any reason why I get significantly more moisture out of my left pipe when I start the car up in the morning as opposed to the right, just curious? 272 with Smitty's. Gary

Check your idle mixture balance. If one side is too rich it will produce less condensation. Also catch some in a clear container and check the color. If it resembles the color of the coolant you're using you may have a head gasket issue.
