I remember doing the seals in mine insert many swear words here........................................................................... I think I went through 4 sets of seals before getting it right, lucky a local mining seal and hydraulics place had the same sizes. Thought it was going to be a simple job, I even went to a place that services forklifts , after over an hour they gave up and handed it back to me, I did do it myself in the end.. Such a simple thing caused me such a headache.

I am using the lucas power steering fluid additive in mine and no problems to date.

One thing to remember about early Ford power steering is to use ATF only in the system. "Power Steering Fluid" that you buy in the stores should not be used in an early Ford power steering system because it leaks.

You must be looking for the Ram seal kit. That is what usually determines early or late, as posted before try Bird haven ot Hill's Thunderbird Center and In my opinion stay away from the guy in Nevada. I keep the Nevada guys catalog only because In Big Red Print I have not to buy from him written across the front.

Not on the control valve end, on the end that mounts to the frame and steering section.

There is the possibility of an Early or a late depending on your production code. Bird Haven at 1-866-302-3673 can help as well as Hill's Thunderbird Center @ 1-800-562-1955. Bird haven is in Iowa and Hill's is in Ohio, I have had a Bad Experience with the guy in Nevada but as they say "Burn me once shame on you, but Burn me twice shame on me" so you know where I will not go to again.

Concours parts in Nevada might be a good source? I'm near the Phila. area and I, deal with a local t-bird parts supplier. Tee bird products in West Chest, Pa would definitely have what u need. Just curious....the area where u need the seals for is the "control Valve" where there is the two small "U" cup type seals? One is say 5/8" in daim. and the other is maybe 11/16" in diam.? These two seal usually go for about $8 or $9.... The quality should be the same no matter where u get them from....

I purchased a seal kit for the power steering jack where it mounts to the tie rod/ ball joint section of the steering system. The kit came from Mac's Auto and of course it was made in China and the seal and spacers were too small in diameter for the piston rod , does anyone know where I can purchase the correct kit?
