Where do I look to find the block numbers or castings on my engine so I can identify what Y block I have?Thanks for any and all answers.

Looking at the side of the block close to where the cylinder head attaches is where most of the block identifying casting numbers will be found. You’ll have to look at both sides of the block as there appears no consistency to the casting codes being on one side or the other.
