Fellas, as an American citizen who was born overseas after my father entered the US Army during Vietnam, I thank you for your service and his service down through the years. Proud to be an American and an individual who promotes freedom and liberty both here and abroad - God bless you US Vets, and God bless you folks from other countries that have sacrificed and served for the cause of freedom around the world.

I'm in the age group whose fathers decided WWII in favor of the Allied forces. He's gone two years now - but not forgotten......  He was always proud to be able celebrate this day and join the other veterans in remembering their friends and comrades. A sincere thanks to all who have served - we salute you.

Steve, That is the same patch on my Fathers uniform,Dad was a Staff Sargent combat Engineer,Ranger trained landed 1st wave Normandy beach!

This is the one?  Pop was in the Pacific - made 11 landings. He said they were a sort of delivery service - he was in one of the shore party companies. I went to one of his reunions in Las Vegas - sobering - 5 guys showed up from the shore parties and 55 from the boat crews.
