Is there an easy way to do this?

I have been through the manual and searched the forum posts, but can find no reference to getting the nails out.

Thanks, Al.

Seals don't have anything I would call a nail. What are you trying to do?

The nails are installed vertically inside between each triangular shaped rubber and the rear engine seal holder after the rubber side seals are installed. They tighten the seal in between the engine block and the aluminum rear seal housing to provide a positive seal.

After removing the two bolts, some bolts are internal socket head others are 12 point, that hold the rear seal housing in place I remove them along with the seal housing by just prying upwards carefully on the seal housing.

They come out as you lift seal housing out! but if they are all you want to remove, then grab the nail with pointy nose pliers , like pulling a tooth.
