I know your pain, Frank. Until the advent of the internet I don't think Ozzies knew half the models of cars for sale in the US and Canada. With all the choice you blokes had it would have been hard to choose a manufacturer let alone a model. It was much simpler here in Oz. Nowadays it is very hard to pick a new car, there are so many different makes and models. The choice gets down to what colour plastic you like. The powers hat be never thought we needed two door sedans so all we got were four doors. That's why we are trying to buy up your old coupes.

Theres more than a few Yanks with Brit cars here. We have heard of Boots and Bonnets. Where you throw us is in the model names, Those we've never heard!

Yeah I thought that when I wrote it because I knew our members would not know what we are talking about. I am currently restoring a 55 Tudor Customline to replace a 58 Star Sedan I sold a few years ago. My offer still holds if you want. Regards

Thanks Rick I didn't contact you direct as I thought you only had Mainline utes. If it is just Aussies dealing with each other, can I now call it a "boot" instead of a "trunk" Cheers

Gary, i always glued them to fit correctly on the top and side and continued laying the rubber against the trunk contour in a similar position on the bottom. The way the rubber is contacted by the trunk lip is different by virtue of the way the trunk lid closes. The genuine Ford manual does not show the procedure for gluing the rubber but does give instructions on getting the lid to seal correctly. I'll drop you an email if you like.
