I have seen some information scattered here and there on the Canadian engines.
While I have a feeling that there will be more questions than answers in this thread , I thought it a good idea to note some of the differences between the US and Canadian counterparts.
My comments are that there seems to be either no machining or any "dot" on a crank on the 312 engines.
I will also comment that I have a block that is cast CECK A that is a 312 engine. The A is underneath the CECK
Mummert states there are no 312 blocks cast as ECK, so I am guessing the "A" suffix designates a 312?
Obviously the "C" in the CECK stands for Canadian.
Canadian blocks also seem to only be marked by the distributor pad area and never on the sides of the block.
Can someone tell me where these Canadian engines are cast?
Please add on fellows.
