Since this is an ongoing issue, just thought to advise that the March 2008 issue of Street Rodder, has an article on oils & lifter problems etc.

I think Paul was just referring to the magazine being some additional information on the subject and wasn’t specifically questioning what’s already been said on the subject.  And that particular article in Street Rodder magazine was worth reading as it summarizes much of what has already been said on the subject.

Ted, might be a good idea to summarize this, and the additive info and stick it in Tech for future reference. The other part of this discussion is that the blower guys cannot run any old additive, at least with a vr. It is possible, evidently, to get the oil too slick for the blower drive.
