Do you have access to an oxy acetylene torch? I know putting heat to you engine block is the last thing you want to do but If you get a brazing tip a #4 or slightly larger you'll be able to heat the Plug Not The Block till it turns Red. after it cools slightly it will spin right out almost with just your fingers but you must get it Red and just the plug.....It'll only take a few short moments to do....Keep water near by and it's good to keep a Co2 or dry chemical fire extinguisher near by..... I had a welder at work teach me this trick and it works every time. Usually the first time you put heat to it and make it turn red...
Best regards,
Jeff

Found the source of the oil leak, it is the plug just above the oil pump. It will not move and is now starting to get rounded out in the 1/4 inch allen head. To make things worse it is a 3 speed car, so the clutch bracket is always in your way.

Is that 90psi at idle or at speed? That's very high for idle, but not bad for a couple thousand rpm.
The pressure can be adjusted with shims or washers. Usually an adjustment is made to get the pressure higher rather than lower. The first thing I would check is that the pressure relief valve is operating smoothly.

Are you sure it is not leaking from the oil filter spin-on adapter?

As well, the pump itself may have a leak and spray oil to where it looks like it leaks at the block. The pump cover plate should not be over or under torqued. The o-ring can get pinched or even twist. Is this a gerotor or spur gear pump? Hoosier Hurricane (8/5/2014) The gasket will go on more than one way, but only one is correct. Look at the oil transfer passages closely and make sure they are aligned in the gasket.
Hi john!, yes that is a little known fact and certainly will lead to oil leaks at pump, regards bill.
