They say there is no such thing as a dumb question...well I just had to try; My Edlebrock #257 has a plugged threaded port on the top center of the manifold. To be honest, I don't know if this plug is in the water jacket or not, but I think it is. Could this be used for an electric fan sending unit location? There are new relay/sending units out there that do not require a traditional temperature sender and just use a wire lug that is bolted to the block (Painless I think makes them ) and that's what I'm leaning towards if the manifold won't work. I really don't want to mess with removing the plug in the head and installing a threaded bung to accomodate a sending unit.

Thanks,

Rono
