- I am rebuilding a y block engine and I am replacing the canister filter with a new one and I want to make sure I am doing it right. A rubber washer goes
on the bolt first and after you insert it in the filter housing you put another rubber washer on then the double spring then the filter cartridge and finally
the housing gasket. Thank you.
