Supercharged Group: Forum Members Last Active: 6 Years Ago Posts: 650, Visits: 2.7K	according to Mr. Mummert's website info, my ECG block casting indicates I have a 272 in my 57 Fairlane that might be a '57, '56, or 55 block, correct? went to purchase a new oil pan drain plug and it was mentioned by the retailer that the "large" drain plug like I have indicated a '55-'56 engine. is there any way I can identify the year of manufacture of my engine? if ECG appears back by the dist,its a 56 or earlier.in 57 they are... By 314 ( 10 Years Ago )
