What happened to the site now. All of a sudden I have to login everytime I want to read the posts, and I still can't get the system to remember me. What have I done wrong. With a long email address and a long password, I am sometimes tempted to just skip it. John

John, All that I can say is that it must be something on your end. The code for the forum was indeed changed a few days ago so that it does remember you. When you login, did you check the button that says "remember me"? Ted and I have been testing this week and neither of us has ever had to re-log in since the code was changed. It remembers us each time. Let me know if you have that box checked.

Jim: I have clicked the remember me box EVERY time I have logged in. Also, why does it put my signature twice every time I post? I only type it in once. John

I tried the "remember me" last night and it worked for at least one return try over the evening. But.....this morning I had to log in all over again. The way it is set up it must roll over on the new day? Logging in again isn't such a big deal to me - the place where I work has everyday security logs.

John John, Try deleting all the old cookies and see if this helps as far as remembering your login. You could possibly have some old cookies confusing the new code. Sounds like you inherited the problem that most of the forum members including myself had as far as the site not remembering your login. I did find the problem with the double signature and corrected that.

Jim, The log in is working for me. Now can you fix the part where if you change the font or the color in the message, the program does not recognize that you've typed anything. As long as part of the message uses the base font you're good.

Hoosier Hurricane, Don't type your name in after a post, it is already there with your little picture. PS I left a PM for you, check your mailbox on this site. I won't sign my name and it will be there automatically.

Ted: Remember, I'm a mechanic, not a computer whiz. What are cookies? The girl scouts sell them around here, but what do they have to do with the site? Where do I find them to delete them? Paul, the only PM I find from you was the one of Oct 21, which I answered a few days ago. Have you sent one since then? John
