Been having a Ford Saturday. Finally found(I think) a "red" oil leak that has a drip from the frame right at the left front door hinge that I believe is coming from the speedometer cable. Anyone else ever have this and is there a fix? For sure it's not the PS control valve, slave, pump or lines as the are all dry. I don't think the trans could get any oil to the center of the frame without evidence of some spray elsewhere.
I decided to look at the road draft tube filter and could get the cover off but not out of the car thru the top or bottom. Screen filter yes, cover no. The car has power steering and the lines are in the stock holder on the frame. I was able to clean it as it was wedged between the a-arm, exhaust manifold, and # 5 spark plug... Is this normal?
Thanks......
