Hey all.
I have a stock 1957 Tbird with a 312. I am running the original ignitor and want to add the MSD Blaster 2  (0.7 ohms 45,000 volts). I have had no luck with flamethrower 40,000 volts 1.5 ohms. they burn out too quickly. I have been running the Flamethrowers without a ballast resistor as per Pertonix instructions and their tech support people who say the Flamethrowers are internally resisted and DO NOT require external resistors.
My questions are
• can I run the ignitor with the MSD Blaster 2 coil (is 45,000 v output compatible with the Ignitor
• can I run the original FORD style Ballast Resistor that came on the car?
I would like to keep the stock look. The MSD Ballast Resistor is 0. 8 ohms. Does anyone know what the stock resistor is?
Does anyone tried this combo?

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks all
