Pontiac used them on the factory light weight drag cars. If you find one on a Ford big truck they are usually fairly reasonable. My buddy just got one for $10 last Saturday at a local yard. Didn't have any more or I would have grabbed them.

I think those same scoops were used on some special Pontiac, so unless you get lucky and find one for sale where the seller just doesn't know what it is, plan to spend several hundred dollars on a crusty, but good one.

Canadian hot rodder, I'm about to ask you the same question kahuna asked MoonShadow. Please, what did the hood scoop on your avitar come off of? It looks real nice and seams to fit (proportionally, aesthetically) well. Maybe another pic?
Thanks loads

The sector shaft is 1 1/8" O.D. on the two tooth and 1 1/4" O.D. on the three tooth.  This is just another thing to look for when trying to I.D. the steering box.

It's on the side facing the firewall. You will probably have to scrape the paint/dirt off of it. I had to clean mine pretty good to see it. The numbers are pretty shallow.
