I'm trying to source a few Y-Block accessories for my upcoming project. A couple of years ago I ran across a company that was selling and I believe making a set of air cleaners that would fit the Holley 4000 teapots and on an Edelbrock 257 manifold. They were adjustable and designed to look like the old Steilings and Hellings air cleaners in the past. Circles on the lids I had it bookmarked but that was at least two dead computers ago. Can anyone recall them and possibly the sellers. Thanks in advance.

Someone else on here was talking about some other ones, got a flat on each side to clear on 2x4's. Not sure which manifold they might work on.

Edit. I think it was these.

I bought a set of those D shaped air cleaners from spotlight custom accessories. they are made well enough and look good, but I am not happy with the way they fit. the filter drags a bit on the one carb when installing it, can't remember which one , and I don't have it here to check. I also thought the gap between the   2 filter housings ( the flat sides) would be tighter than it is. the gap just looks to large for me. I am just a very picky guy. also I am not real crazy about the V8 embossed into the filter element, I would rather have it plain. oh well another couple hundred to the pile of parts that I may not use. I really would like to find a set of completely round air cleaners for the teapots with about a 1/8 to 1/4 " between the lids.

I got it to work by going to otbgear.com. Think I found the ones you're talking about. Way cool.

Get some 1/4 Aluminum flat stock, a saber saw with a metal cutting blade, a filter that will fit and make your own.

I probably will end up making my own. my brother is a machinist, and we have plenty of equipment at our disposal, so fab'ing one up is not a problem, but was not originally planning on using  aluminum. we also do not have a chrome plating shop in the State of Alaska anymore thanks to the EPA . we used to have one in Anchorage, but it was shut down 10 years ago.

If you think about it the Holley's of that time they were the ONLY carb with the 7-1/4" top seal diameter. All the Rochester and Carters had a smaller seal area that's why the GM and Chrysler air cleaners would not fit and the Holley's needed more room on top. Today they all are the same so to find originals for a Ford will be tough. I'm not saying they did not make them but until the 57 came out with the Ford Autolite and the new style Holley's, there would have been little call for the Holley especially a dual quad since they were a dealer installed option and came with an Purolator complete air cleaner/filter system. Good Luck
