Has anyone ever hooked up a 6 volt pertronix ignitor to a 6 volt positive ground 55 ford car. This car is also equipped with a 1957 later distributor.  Did you have any problems?  remember we're talking 6 volt positive ground and later distributor.  My problem is no spark from coil at all. don't know if I install the unit right no real instructions with it.  It seemed like it only goes in one way and you screw it down and go on with it.  But after that I'm lost. by what I can tell you replace the hot wire from switch with a black wire  then goes to the unit its got to transfer circuit through the unit to a black and white wire that is connected to the (-) black and white line to (-) or battery side of coil.  The (+) side of coil is then grounded to battery or frame and it's suppose to work.
