This goes out to John or anyone else who knows FMX's. My tranny (Fordo /FMX hybrid) started acting up yesterday it used to bang quite hard 2nd to 3rd gear ( due to the shift kit) wheather in drive or manually shifting. Now I will get a " slip bang" when it goes from 2nd to 3rd, whether in drive or shifting manually. I checked the tranny fluid, full, good and pink no burnt smell to it. I was told that I might be able to do a simple band adjustment externally on the tranny, that it may be slightly worn or am I looking at new clutches and a rebuild? Any advice would be appreciated.
