the students in my auto shop class are rebuilding '55-7 ECG 272 as a class project, we are lookin for: rear main bearing cap pushrods lifters pistons (can we bore it to 292 specs?) and any other of the common rebuild parts you may beiling to part with... Thanks!

Didn't read this post until after I had replied to your intro post. Yes, you can bore the 272 to 292. I think I have a set of std bore 292 pistons that could be reused. New stock type pistons are still available through Auto Zone and maybe NAPA. There again depends on the budget. I'll dig through the ones that I have and if they look OK you can have them for shipping cost. You may get offers that are closer to you that will save shipping, just let me know.

Hi Tom, I have pushrods, seal retainer, pistons, cam and lifters, truck timing chain and gears. Still not clear if he needs a rear main cap or not but I will throw one in. Ted tells me that the heads worked out real well for you and seem to have solved your problem.
