Does anyone know anything about the new balancer made by Power Bond and sold on E-Bay by Falcon http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33616&viewitem=&item=350102349615 and Mummert? Are there differences in balancers? John does not list it on his site.

Guess I could call but I wanted to know if any of ‘THE SUPREME BEINGS’ knew anything about it before I did…

I just saw those myself, don't know anything about them, but if Mummert is involved I would think that they are OK. Cheaper that having a fifty year old one rebuilt and you can get it in a couple of days instead of a couple of months, I would give John a call and ask him about them before I ordered from Falcon though.

Howdy,

Those might be pretty good.

I bought one from the Damper Doctor in Redding Ca

I think it was only $140. (I sent my old one for a core) (it may be up to about $165 now according to his site)

This guy has been making them for many years.

I just spoke to the "Damper Doctor" and he told me that he's having a bolt on pulley made for the single sheave damper that will solve the problem of the scarce 2 sheave pulley too! 2 weeks out or so he said.

Regards,

Rick

The Ausiie's make pretty good stuff, they are the ones that made the rollmaster. I wonder when more of those will be made.

Rick, I have been making the aluminum ones for that for four years now, Mummerts working on one also.

Frank,

does your pulley bolt on using the 2 holes in the current single sheave damper?

I was just going to find something suitable at a wrecking yard and adapt my current damper to work with it.

I would like to use mine for the high mount fan I'll be using and maybe a future air conditioning pump.....

(Although with a fan and A/C pump might be a little too much torque using 2 bolts)

Rick,

Two bolts and the longer crank bolt. Go to links and check Rebop.

Is it correct to say that this damper will NOT work on a passenger car?

Thanks!
