Talked to falcon today about the belt width and they said they would look into doing some with the 1/2 inch belts for the 55 & 56. The 3/8 th are for the 57 & up leaving a huge market (55-56) wide open. The name of the guy I talked to is Dave.

The crankshaft balancer are the same for the trucks as the cars as Ted said.

This pulley is a perfect replacement and will likely withstand higher RPM,s as they are manufactured of machined steel not cast iron like the originals and do not have the spokes from the hub to the pulley. The pulley groove has the same narrow belt groove as the 57 up crankshaft pulley has.

The Australian manufacturing quality is super. I would compare it as good as the roll-master timing chains. I do not know how to post pictures or I would for everyone to compare the 56 wide belt and 57 narrow belt pulleys with the new Ozzie pulley.

This one is going on a 300HP+ 312 engine

Is it correct to say that this damper will NOT work on a passenger car?

If you’re asking about the damper in the Falcon Ebay link, then that particular damper looks to be a replacement for both the cars and pickups.  The Thunderbirds use a different (longer) damper.

Frank,

does your pulley bolt on using the 2 holes in the current single sheave damper?

I was just going to find something suitable at a wrecking yard and adapt my current damper to work with it.

I would like to use mine for the high mount fan I'll be using and maybe a future air conditioning pump.....

(Although with a fan and A/C pump might be a little too much torque using 2 bolts)

I just spoke to the "Damper Doctor" and he told me that he's having a bolt on pulley made for the single sheave damper that will solve the problem of the scarce 2 sheave pulley too! 2 weeks out or so he said.

Rick, I have been making the aluminum ones for that for four years now, Mummerts working on one also.
