Y-Guys       I'm trying to replace the tailshaft bushing, in my T-5,

          and once I get it in, the driveshaft won't go in. It seems too

          tight, and i've tried 2 different brands. I'm using a tool made for

          this, but it seems the bushing is too small.

                 I removed it and looked into the housing, and there is a

          groove, and maybe the "split" in the bushing is suppose to line

          up with the groove??? (I tried to lightly tap the driveshaft in,

          but it gets tight quick!     Suggestions welcome,

                 Oh, by the way, its 68 degrees outside where I'm working....

Sometimes when you drive those in they will "mushroom" in a little, you might want to chamfer the bushing on the side you are driving against.

               but I'm going to wait on my son Reed to get back, and maybe

               we can put our heads together and figure it out...

HI; Before you install a new bushing test fit it to the shaft that will be running in it. Then after the bushing is installed if the fit is too tight then scrape the bushing to size. Bushing are soft and do mushroom while being driven in.
