A bit off topic, but does anyone have any comments? Ford based engines qualified 1,3,4,5. The winner by a fair margin was a Ford 400M based engine, by Jon Kaase Racing. An engine that is certainly not on the beaten path of muscle engines. Fords were also 3rd, 4th & 6th. On the third day of qualifying 6 SBC's were up & 2 Fords, an FE 406 & a 351 Cleveland. Four SBC's either broke or were disqualified! The writer said ... "Chevy small block entries hit a high point on this day, but unfortunately, attrition hit a high point as well, disproportionately concentrated on the Chevy entries"... Disproportionately!?
