I have located a 292 for sale from an early 60s ford truck that has been rebuilt a few years ago with very few miles, according to the ad.  Since I have a tired 272 in my '59, I'm seriously considering buying this 292.  He wants $550 for it.

I have been unable to locate any good information about the differences in truck engines and their car equivalents.  All I know is that the intake valves were smaller after '59 and that power was down a bit.  What else is there to know?

I plan to go look at the engine this afternoon.  I will get casting numbers to properly ID it at that point.

Anything in particular I should be looking for?
