Didn't somebody on here tell me that the master cylinder from a '77 Maverick was a direct bolt on for a '56 Ford?

i did a disk break swap on my 57 fairlane and the master cylinder i used was a 4 door lincoln continental i think it was. the bolt holes line up to use 2 of the holes stock master has 4 bolt you just don't use the bottom 2 i think it is i also used the proportioning valve from it seems to work fine.

There are also adapter plates that allow a 2 bolt to be used in the place of a 4 bolt. I believe ECI has one.

I used one from a 68 Falcon, bolted right in on my 59 Ford.

i didn't see the need for an adapter just welded up the old bolt holes i guess i didn't need the adapter since i'm doing a build up not just adding it.

1975-80 Granada if you have disc brakes. There is a power and non power one. If you have drum brakes all around, make sure the master is for 4 wheel drum brakes. They are different.



Bolt in, you use only two of the four bolts. Just put bolts in the unused holes.

I've got drums all the way around, no power. The '68 Falcon one seems the one to me. Probably the same as the '77 Maverick. Thanks guys.

Statement was a generality - I don't think Granada's came with drum brakes in the front.
