Would someone post some pictures of an engine stand you have built? I'm looking to build a stand to run a y-block. What size angle iron did you use? Thanks

Dennis: How about using materials related to your trade, like some 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch black pipe, various elbows, tees, and unions, etc. and making up a stand with maybe some flat plates welded in place for block and transmission (if used) mounts. In my mind, I see a couple of rectangular frames, one at ground level, the other elevated a foot or so with four "corner" posts. Just my 2 cents. Say "HI" to Cindy for me.

John, I think it would be easier to build and weld angle iron than pipe. I'd bet the fittings would be costly too.

Dennis, I made up an engine cradle with some scrap 2 x 2 square box and some 2 inch angle iron . Not bad for an amature, even if I say so myself ?? Only took about 2 hrs one rainy Saturday afternoon .For some reason I can't load the photos ??? Lon
