I am sorry to say that this years Y-Block Nats will not have a Canadian contingent ( unless someone else can step up to the plate?)!    I have been convinced by some of my local car Buddies to head to the Woodward Cruise this year. Unfortunately time and money only allows for one event or the other.

That being said I figure if I don't show, it might give the Aussie's a chance to actually win the "International Match Race" if no one challenges them!!! LOL     I will however put up $50.00 USD to the best finishing non US racer. This is a challenge to any other Canadian who is not scared to cross the border and race!!!  (This also may include a "Scooter" race since I beat Lon at that too!!!  ) LOL

So any Canadian Y-Blockers who wish to carry the flag for me this year may just earn $50 bucks! Hey, it is not much competion, score is Canada 4 Australia "0"  !!!!!!! Any takers????

Jeez Rob, It's going to be quieter in Coliumbus this year. Woodward's pretty neat too. Make sure your cooling system is working, you're going to need it if the weather is normal "August in Detroit".

I seriously doubt it is a personal reason or a financial reason that Rob doesn't make both shows.  I think the authorities will not allow him into the states more than once a year.

1.) Yehaa,  I would love to have a Canadian Y shoot-out, which I might be able to tag onto a local event at one of our drag strips, but I wonder how many of you would head north to race?????

Rob: I'd love to take you up on your offer, unfortunately at Canadian gas prices, the $50.00 would only pay for one days gas for the 3000 mile trip. -(from the Vancouver B.C. vicinity)

        First, cross the border into Washington state! Then the gas is $2.50 to $3.00 per gallon. Still not cheap, I know, maybe you could double up  with somebody else from out there. 46 lives in Idaho, and there's others. You only live once.

          John, he's probably more interested in getting back. When you enter Canada they always want to know if you're a convicted Felon and.................
