I've been lurking here off and on for a few years now as projects dictate. Got a new project and starting to get into it deeper than I wanted. This is a supposed 64 Ford one ton truck with FWD,chassis and running gear. Has a 36 Ford cab mounted on it and has been made into a repicla log truck. Looks really cool and fits my "vintage". I bought it this way and so far have only done external things to it, lights, mirrors etc. I'm finding out the engine is starting to become a problem as the lifters ain't taking quieting adjustment. Also don't think this is a 64 engine, breather tube is down on front left corner and a 292 truck engine I put in my car years ago the breather tube is on rear of engine. Am I right? Casting number on the block is 6015A. I don't have the lit. to research this number but I know one of you guys do and could use some verification help. I have some various parts laying around, blocks, etc and was wondering if there is a diff. in lifters on these engines. Are the 272,292 and 312 lifters and pushrods, rockers etc the same? Looks life the rear main has a leak also and I changed oil and added a jug of Lucas stop leak. The top of the engine looks clean and I used Citgo 10W-30 oil, which is what I have used for about 40 years in all my cars. Hoping to hear some advise from the guys in the know. Terry
