While doing my checkup, I made the difficult decision to replace my points as a preventative measure. The difficulty was in spending money on new points when I have this electronic unit about ready to go in. Looking back, I think it was a good decision.







Maybe that is what happens when one uses a coil which states to "use with an external resistor" without a resistor!? They may have lasted through the trip but with my luck, they would have given up right in the middle of the longest span of any two interstate ramps. They must have been in use for about 7k miles.



Anyhow, it looks like my truck will be leaving my driveway this Thursday morning. Hopefully it will be at the Super 8 in Heath on Thursday evening.
