ok so i was thinking of building a air intake system onto the 59 f100 that im rebuilding. this will most likely be years off as im just barely doing cab work but anyways. My ideal was to build a scoop onto the hood with a connected airbox above the carb. the only concern i have with this is that my truck is a driver and im afraid that if i did this it might restrict air flow significantly when stoped and idleing. such as sitting at a stop light. yea i know such an air system would really be kinda silly on a daily driver but i think it would be fun to come up with and build.
So would any bad consequences come of building a air intake system such as this on a rebuilt mildly hopped up 292 in a 59 ford f100 4wd. and what would be the good that comes out of it. any input is welcome just throwing ideals around.
