Recently when accessing or posting I've encountered problems such as;
1. page will not load
2. page freezes
3. can't get off home page
4. a posting goes into "please wait" & won't move, etc
Are these problems encountered by others? Or is it a problem with my computer or service provider?
I'll note that it usually occurs late at night, Pacific time, but not always.
I'm not computer literate particularly, so have no idea whats up?..

I've been having problems also, and not always the same problem. When we discussed this a couple weeks ago, Ted suggested we keep track of these things to be a possible help in finding the cure. Since that time I have had 7 miscues. I don't think I should post them here, takes up too much space. Ted, how should we make these things known, and to whom?

John. I’m slowly compiling my own list also. When the time comes, I’ll ask for the lists of miscues collected from the other site members and We’ll just see if Jim can turn these over to the company that's hosting the site. When recording these ‘miscues’, be sure to record the AM or PM, the approximate length of time, and the time zone. A description of the problem will also help. All mine have been the site locking up for ~10 minutes and logging myself out. I have five miscues on my own list and the changing to day light savings time compounds looking through them for trends.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence but I was having trouble one day and clicked over to the control panel. When I clicked back to Home I noticed a "delete forum cookies" button just below the forum listings. I clicked on it just to see what would happen and the site started working just fine. This button only shows up when you go to Forum or Home from Control Panel. It goes away once you click on any Topic. Haven't tried it since cuz I couldn't find it again. Don't know if this is really a "fix".

I wish I could find that "delete Cookies" button. I'm about ready to give up on this site, not that I want to, a lot of good folks and info here. I have tried many times to either log on, post a reply, contribute some info or just read the forums, but it usually drops me off. I guess if you can read this I made it on this time.
Not to mention I am still having a hard time posting pictures???
Very frustrating.

Bob's 55 (3/26/2010) I wish I could find that "delete Cookies" button.The ‘delete’ button is on the lower right on the Home page for the forum.
I have eleven documented instances so far where the YBF site has simply froze up for approximately ten minutes at a time. Two of the instances are on the same day while the rest are days apart from each other. I am seeing a trend in the times in which the freezeup problems arise on my own end for what that's worth. More often than not I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" screen page. None of these instances last over ten minutes though from beginning to end. This may help assuming a computer guru can be found to work on the code for a reasonable cost. When I do get another freezeup I’ll try John’s suggestion with clearing out the site cookies as that too would be another pointer or clue to the root problem if it indeed helps clear up a users freezeup issue sooner.
