Jim is likely the one to thank but he has had someone else in the background looking at the issues that have been mentioned. I haven’t talked to him since late last week so not sure what was found this weekend.

Ted, don't know what happened over the weekend but now I can view the forums without logging on every time I visit. Still have to log on to post (which I don't do all that often anyway), but I would think that is normal to most sites.
BIG improvement, so thanks to whoever push the right button...

carl (3/27/2010) Ted I dont have any problem going to the home page, but sometimes i cant get the forum to open. it will let me go to the event page then i can go back to the forum ok.. CarlThe ‘Home’ that’s being talked about is the ‘Home’ in the upper left of the forum page. Not to be confused with the main home page for the site.

Ted: I also have 11 events logged on my notepad. I have found a couple of times, when it locked up, I left it alone instead of giving up and going to some other site. When I left it on, eventually a message would come up, "Bad response from server". Nothing else, just those 4 words. Is this a clue? Also, twice when I tried to log back in after lockup, I got a message "Server error in forums application". I also have to type in my email address and password every time I log in, but it's been that way almost from the beginning of the current program, which was installed after the original program was hacked.

Ted, not trying to beat a dead horse here but Freeze Ups are not the only problem I am experiencing. I also have to log on every time I visit (even if it was 5 minutes ago) and sometimes it won't let me log on or just freezes on the log on page. The only thing I can do to get out of it is Force Quit my browser and restart my computer.
I'm using a Mac and Safari if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Bob's 55 (3/26/2010) I wish I could find that "delete Cookies" button. The ‘delete’ button is on the lower right on the Home page for the forum.
I have eleven documented instances so far where the YBF site has simply froze up for approximately ten minutes at a time. Two of the instances are on the same day while the rest are days apart from each other. I am seeing a trend in the times in which the freezeup problems arise on my own end for what that's worth. More often than not I get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" screen page. None of these instances last over ten minutes though from beginning to end. This may help assuming a computer guru can be found to work on the code for a reasonable cost. When I do get another freezeup I’ll try John’s suggestion with clearing out the site cookies as that too would be another pointer or clue to the root problem if it indeed helps clear up a users freezeup issue sooner.

I wish I could find that "delete Cookies" button. I'm about ready to give up on this site, not that I want to, a lot of good folks and info here. I have tried many times to either log on, post a reply, contribute some info or just read the forums, but it usually drops me off. I guess if you can read this I made it on this time.
Not to mention I am still having a hard time posting pictures???
Very frustrating.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence but I was having trouble one day and clicked over to the control panel. When I clicked back to Home I noticed a "delete forum cookies" button just below the forum listings. I clicked on it just to see what would happen and the site started working just fine. This button only shows up when you go to Forum or Home from Control Panel. It goes away once you click on any Topic. Haven't tried it since cuz I couldn't find it again. Don't know if this is really a "fix".
