This is the continuing saga of hard starting TBird. It was suggested that the issue could be the sock in the gas tank. So, I proceeded to check it out. How do I get to it? I have taken the tank out and have no idea how to get to it or what to do to it.  The gas in the tank was very dark color. Crap in the tank as well. Lots of rust particles it seems. Also at fuel line attachment the line was twisted as if line wouldnt move and someone tried to loosen it and it wouldnt budge and twisted. Kinking the line, which restricts the flow which could collect rust and other stuff in it and clog the line since it was restricted already.  My thoughts anyway. That being said and not knowing how to get to the inside of the tank I am not one to wait around when I start doing something like this. I want a solution and a happy life. I ordered a gas tank and fuel lines. I didnt pay any attention to the order untiul I got this tank out. Its without a filler neck. What do I do about that? I have never taken a tank out before and had no idea what I was getting into until I got there.  Thats ok. Its a learning experience. But ,I have a new tank that will be here Monday and no filler neck. The Bird parts places dont have a neck for a 55. Neither does the place I bought mine from.  What to do? Thanks
