Hello. New one here. I have some qustions on my truck. It's a 1954 F-100 that was passed down from my grandpa. It had "what was suppose to be" a 292 in it when I recieved it that was knocking like crazy. We opted to buy the same engine to keep the swap simple. When we picked up the new engine it had 312 wrote on the heads in marker. So I don't really know what I have, and this all happend 20 years ago when I was 15 years old. Now I want to start working on the truck and keep it original, but it's been in the barn for 19 years without being touched. I'd like to go with a 4 barrel carb and intake or 3-2's, but I'm not sure what I shoud be looking for or where to look for it. Should I be looking for 292 parts or 312, or will either work on it? Any help with this is greatly appreciated
