I recently picked up a 62 292 and from what I heard that motor was detuned and has the smallest valves of any Y block,I have heard the 57 heads are the best but what would be a alternative that would be easier to find in the junkyards or swapmeets.  This is not going to be a high performance motor but a more stock like motor for torque and would love to get a set of the aluminum heads but dont have the bucks for them.
