I don't know for sure, what side does the speedometer cable go into the trans. My T-10 is on the left (drivers) so if the 57 is the same I would think the helix would be the same. It would sure be worth a try. I will send you a PM with my address. Thanks

I found a gear from an OD trans, 7 teeth, steel, probably a B7A-C with RH helix. It is 1 3/8 bore. The book shows the C2AZ-B as a steel 7 tooth, no reference to helix or shaft diameter. If you think this B7A gear will work, send me a mailing address.

We have a guy who in the 70s bougt ur ENORMOUS amounts of part from dealers in the US (wourthless stuff in those days), he is a sort of mr Ford over here, and he is very nice, no overprices and so fourth. And he has a number mind, parts nrs in his head, its anstonishing, Mail to him is: sven.ullman@telia.com If you contact him tell me, have become to know him not only by buing parts and I think that he would propably think its quite nice to re export, and this gear he propably wont take much for, whom buys such an item? Had a B&W t 10 in my 64 fairlane, had no problems to get a speedo drive, was not the same as in an automatic. I guess you mean the plastic gear. Had to try a couple before i got the right speed on the meter. A tip. dont try how it fits before you clipped it to the speedocable, luckylly its mad of plastic so the gears can eat it. Hoosier Hurricane (11/24/2010) If you know the diameter of the shaft where the gear fits, I could look through my transmission parts and see if I have a 7 tooth gear that fits. Yes, the smaller gear could be bored to fit.John- My trans is still together in car but from what I have found on-line they say 1 3/8 and also 1.375.. I found a C4DZ-17285A but can't confirm if it is the same as the C2AZ-17285A I was told is the correct number I need. This is proving to be more work than installing it. Thanks for looking!

It says it is for automatic with overdrive. It is the same number that I need but it ends with a B and I need an A.

I'm looking for the drive gear in the trans. I converted the cable and speedometer driven gear when I converted to the 4 speed, only to find that the trans didn't have a gear inside it. I would really like to have a working speedo. If the shaft is smaller on the auto trans I wonder if I could get it turned to fit the 4 speed? I've been told the Super T-10 is different.

Are you looking for the drive gear which is on the output shaft of the transmission or the driven gear on the end of the cable?Usually to compensate for changes in tire size or rear axle gears the driven gear is changed.
