I was able to run my 333 yblock on the R&R dyno in suburban St Paul Mn yesterday. It was a good day no gremlins and no broken parts.. The y block endured repeated 7000 rpm pulls without complaint
I had estimated that Hilborn injection would add some torque and horsepower, and I was rewarded with an additional 27 hp (462)and 31 lb/ft of torque (421). The injector proved to be easy to tune and I was able to achieve a nice stable idle at 1200 rpm, which is not that much different than the carb and intake. This will prove to be a potent setup in a drag car. Currently at 1.38 hp/cu in , addition of Mummert heads should bump up the horsepower to nearly 500, that would be 1.5 hp/cu which is in big boy territory.
Ooops faux pas in the original attachment.... see below for data

Gary, Methanol would make a bit more power, but it's hard on fuel system parts and has some undesireable physical characteristics. E85 is cheap, available, does not need as much fuel system maintainence, and will take 12:1 compression
