It is good news. I think we all know that you are not doing this for dineros, but the offers are genuine and if it makes it easier on you maybe the hubcap should be passed.

Hey GOOD NEWS  Jim;    Boy it's an honor to be a part of such a group.. Thank you Jim.  Maybe we should start a fund. Everyone put in 5 or 10 bucks just in case we ever need it, put in the bank and let it draw interest.   Just want to help.    God Bless    Eddie

Guess it is time for an update.  I have located another server and am going in on expenses with two other guys so at this point, I may not have to pass the hubcap.  I have never done this site to make $$$, you guys all know that.  This site is a labor of love for the old cars and for all of the people that have benefitted from it being here.  That alone is worth what is expended.  I don't have hard money figures yet, but the new webserver WILL be able to run this forum, a MUST for the site.  The data will begin transferring in the next week, and the switch "should" be totally transparent to you.  The only glitch may be that the forums become read only for a day or so while the nameservers are updated.  Otherwise, we could lose any posts that were made during the time that the nameserver is changing globally.  I could explain in more detail, but no sense in that!

The bottom line is, we will continue on and with any luck, my commercial sites (sites I maintain for paying customers) will mostly offset the additional costs of the new server.

Thanks for your support, I am really humbled by the offers.  Heck, I could take the money and retire!!!  As Colin Date has told me many times, the Y-Block "club" is the most ardent and tight knit group that he has ever seen in his years of being involved with cars.  I can easily believe that.

Money order or Paypal works for me, 5-10 bucks per user ain't gunna break us if thats the level of funding thats required to keep the site afloat with the current performance level we enjoy...

Jim,

You know I am good for some dough down here in the Shenandoah Valley. Keep us posted and we will do what it takes...

sorry it took so long to throw in my 2 cents -- I have been in Detroit for the past week or more - the Ford's were awesome.
